Concorso Drives May 2024

The Concorso Italiano Foundation, in cooperation with the Ferrari Owners Club Northern California Region, are thrilled to host the inaugural “Concorso Drives” Monthly Series on May 11th, 2024 leading up to Monterey Car Week and Concorso Italiano, “The Preeminent Italian Lifestyle Event” held in August 2024 at Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course on the Monterey Peninsula. You do not have to register in an Italian vehicle for this event. As part of our outreach, warm Italian hospitality, and “Get Out And Drive” ethos, we welcome all vehicles and vehicle enthusiasts who have an appreciation for Italian culture, food, beverages and appetite for enjoying life!

The Concorso Italiano Foundation and the Ferrari Owners Club Northern California Region invite you to join like-minded exotic car enthusiasts for a fun drive from Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Course to a Delicato Vineyards property to enjoy your cars, the California Central Coast’s amazing countryside, a delicious Italian lunch and local wine from Delicato Vineyards as well as a visit to their amazing barrel room. Delicato is celebrating One Hundred Years (100) this year. No, that's not a misprint! So please join us as we celebrate our May inaugural drive which will be hosted by the new Chairman of The Concorso Italiano Foundation and a member of the Ferrari Owners Club Northern California Region who are very familiar with these wonderful back roads. This will surely be a special kickoff to the Monthly “Concorso Drives” Series as Concorso experiences its thirty-ninth (39th) year.

Each drive is limited to a maximum of thirty (30) vehicles. Please take advantage of this opportunity to join us and register today for the inaugural drive on Saturday May 11th, 2024. We look forward to having you join us for this event. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Salinas Valley Heritage Foundation in King City, California.

Registered participants will meet at the parking lot of Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course – home of Concorso Italiano at 10:00 am on Saturday May 11th, 2024 and receive proposed route maps along with the final destination. We expect to arrive at the barrel room at approximately 11:30am, where we will meet James, the winemaker in the picture below, learn about the vineyard and then have a delicious Italian lunch afterwards at approximately 12:30 pm at the hacienda to unwind!

After lunch, why not escape to the majestic rolling hills lovely hotels and celebrated wineries of Paso Robles. Located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco and bordered by coastal Highway 1 and the 101, Paso Robles is California wine country with beach access and Michelin stars. A community of cowboys and innovators, it's where world-class food, wine and art meet small-town charm. This weekend, there is the annual Warbirds Wings & Wheels 13 event is open on May 11th, 2022 the same day of the Concorso May Drive. This unique car show is held in the midst of Estrella Warbirds Museum in Paso Robles. It's not only a great photo op location with cars parked next to your favorite warbird/s, but it's an ever-growing event which ultimately helps fund the operations of Estrella Warbirds Museum, Paso Robles' home grown aviation and automotive museum.
